శ్రీశైలం - మల్లిఖార్జున స్వామి దేవాలయం
ఆంద్ర ప్రదేశ్ లో ఉన్న ప్రముఖ శైవ క్షేత్రాలలో ప్రఖుమైనది ద్వాదశ జ్యోతిర్లింగాలలో ఒకటి శ్రీశైలం లో ఉన్న భ్రమరాంభ సమేత శ్రీ మల్లిఖార్జున స్వామి దేవాలయం.
ఈ ఆలయం పై మన భారత తపాల శాఖ 15 -5 -2003 న ఒక తపాల బిళ్ళవిడుదల చేసింది.
మన రాష్ట్రం లో కర్నూలు జిల్లా లో నలమల కొండల పై ఉన్న ఈ దేవాలయము అభేద్యమైన ప్రాకారము కలిగి లోపల నాలుగు మండపములతో అపూర్వమైన శిల్ప సంపదతో చూడ ముచ్చటగా ఉంటుంది. ప్రధాన గర్భాలయము మాత్రము ఎటువంటి శిల్పాలు లేకుండా చాలా సాధారణ నిర్మాణం తో ఉంటుంది.

శ్రీశైలం భ్రమరంభా మల్లిఖార్జునల దేవాలయం ఫై ఇంతకు ముందు మన తపాల శాఖ ఆ ఆలయ ప్రాముఖ్యతను గుర్తించి ప్రత్యేక పోస్టల్ ముద్ర ను కేటాయించి 7-3-1978 న ఒక ప్రత్యేక కవరు విడుదల చేసింది.

ప్రత్యేక పోస్టల్ ముద్రగా (Pictorial post mark )ఆలయ రాజ గోపురం ను కవరు పై భ్రమరాంభ మల్లిఖార్జున స్వామి వార్లను ముద్రించారు.

Pictorial Cancellations – Inaugural Cover- Srisailam

A Pictorial Cancellation was introduced at Srisailam on Lord Mallikarjuna Temple on 07 Mar 1978 . An Inaugural special cover was issued to commemorate the Event. The Cancellation shows Temple and cover Shows Lord Mallikarjuna and Bhramaramba.

India Post Issued a set of Four Commemorative postage stamps on 15 -5 -2003 on famous Hindu temples

One of the Stamps shows Mallikarjuna swami temple -SRISAILAM and remainig three stamps are on other Hindu temples at Bhadrinath, Udayapur, puri.

Srisailam is a Holy town situated in Nallamala Hills of Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh on the banks of River Krishna.
