India Post released a set of 2 stamp & Miniature Sheet on 25th May 2011 to commemorate  2nd Africa-India Forum Summit . The stamps depict the African and Asian Elephants in the denomination of Rs.25/- and Rs.5/-. Miniature Sheet  2 nd Africa-India Forum Summit

A Special Cover On Andhra Christian College Centenary Celebrations  by India Post  on 23-11-1985 Andhra-Christian College , popularly known as  A.C College , is one of the oldest colleges in India to offer graduate programs.It was established in 1885 in Guntur ,Andhra Pradesh. AC College is part of the educational enterprise of the Protestant churches. The College admits intermediate, under-graduate and graduate students and awards degrees through theAcharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur. Saint George  is the patron saint of the College. At the entrance of the college a statue of the patron saint's image slaying the dragon is found.( It is Shown on Cover) The college motto -  " you shall know the truth, the truth shall make you free" along with college emblem can be also seen on cover. Alumni of College : N.G. Ranga, N.T.R, U.Sobhan Babu (cinima), Kasu Bhramhanada Reddy, Dr.Anji Reddy,  J.Papaiah Sastri,K. Rosaiah etc.

To mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of  Rabindranath Tagore     Sri Lanka Post  issued a commemorative postage stamp on 7th, May 2011. Rabindranath Tagore   First day Cover గురుదేవ్ రవీంద్రనాథ్ టాగోర్ కి శ్రీ లంక నివాళి గురుదేవ్ రవీంద్రనాథ్ టాగోర్ 150 వ జయంతి సందర్బంగా 7మే,2011 న  శ్రీ లంక  ఘనంగా నివాళి ఇస్తూ ఒక ప్రత్యేక తపాలా బిళ్ళను విడుదల చేసింది. గురుదేవ్ లు 1922 ,28 ,34 లో మూడు సార్లు శ్రీ లంక దేశాన్ని సందర్శించారు. శ్రీ లంక జాతీయ గీతాన్ని రాసిన ఆనంద సమరక్క  శాంతి నికేతన్ లో 1936 లో విద్యను అభ్యశించాడు.  టాగోర్ ప్రభావం తో ఈ గీతాన్ని రాసినట్లు విమర్శకుల అభిప్రాయం.

A Special cover Issued by India Post on Timmamma Marrimanu  (The Largest Banyan Tree),Ananthapur Dist.A.P. on 23-2-2002 with Special Cancellation of Lepakshi Nandi.  అనంతపూర్ లో  23-2-2002 న జరిగిన ' RAYALAPEX ' సందర్బంగా మన తపాల శాఖ వారు ఒక ప్రత్యక కవరు విడుదల చేసారు.  లేపాక్షి నంది  బొమ్మతో ప్రత్యక పోస్టల్ ముద్ర తోవిడుదల చేసిన ఈ కవరు పై  ప్రపంచ ప్రసిద్ది చెందిన తిమ్మమ్మ మర్రి మాను చిత్రాన్ని ముద్రించారు.  తిమ్మమ్మ మర్రిమాను ఈ మర్రి చెట్టు కదిరి పట్టణానికి 35 కి.మీ మరియు అనంతపురం నగరానికి 100 కి.మీ దూరం లో, గూటిబయలు గ్రామంలో ఉన్నది. దక్షిణ భారత దేశంలోఅతి పెద్ద వృక్షం గా పేరు పొందింది. ఈ మర్రి చెట్టు దాదాపు 5 చదరపు ఎకరములు కన్న ఎక్కువ విస్తీర్ణంలో వ్యాపించి యున్నది.1989 లో తిమ్మమ్మ మర్రిమాను గిన్నీసు బుక్ ఆఫ్ వరల్డ్ రికార్డ్స్ లో స్థానం పొందింది. తిమ్మమ్మ  అనే ఆమె 1394 లో శెన్నాక్క వేంకటప్ప మరియు మంగమ్మ లకు జన్మించింది.భర్త మరణించటం తో ఆమె  1434 లో సతీ సహగమనం చేసింది. ఆ చితి పై ఉన్న ఈ చెట్టుకు తిమ్మమ్మ అను  పేరు పెట్టారు. ఈ  చెట్టు క్రింద తిమ్మమ్మ గుర్తుగా చిన్న గుడి వుంది

To mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore  Bangladesh Post  issued four commemorative postage stamps  and one miniature sheet on 7 May 2011. Rabindranath Tagore Rabindranath Tagore - Miniature మన జాతీయ గీతం రాసిన టాగూరు బంగ్లాదేశ్ కు కుడా జాతీయ గీతం "అమర్ సోనార్ బాంగ్ల " అందించారు. రవీంద్రుని 150 వ జయంతిని ఇరు దేశాలు సంయుక్తంగా జరుపుకుంటున్నాయి. దీనిలో భాగంగా బంగ్లాదేశ్ పోస్ట్ రవీంద్రునిపై నాలుగు తపాలా బిళ్ళలు విడుదల చేసింది. వీటిపై రవీంద్రుడు వివిధ కాలాలో  నివసించిన భవనాలు ( ప్రస్తుతం వాటిని బంగ్లాదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం జాతీయ వారసత్వ సంపదగా గుర్తించింది ) వీటితో పాటు ఒక లఘు పత్రం ( miniature ) కుడా విడుదల చేసింది. దానిపై ఒక ప్రక్క బంగ్లా జాతీయ గీతం మరో ప్రక్క మన జాతీయ గీతం ముద్రించారు. 

India Post issued two postage stamps and a Miniature sheet on  7th May,2011   to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of  Rabindranath Tagore రవీంద్రనాథ టాగోర్  -  నాటకం లో పాత్రధారిగా   రవీంద్రనాథ టాగోర్ - కవితా రచనం  విశ్వకవి,దార్శినికుడు,చిత్రకారుడు,విద్యావేత్త, నోబెల్ విజేత  రవీంద్రుని 150 వ జయంతి ని పురస్కరించుకొని మే 07 ,2011 న ఘన నివాళి ఇస్తూ  మన తపాలా శాఖ రెండు ప్రత్యక తపాలా బిళ్ళలను వాటితో పాటు ఒక లఘు పత్రం (Miniature) కుడా విడుదల చేసారు. దీనిపై రవీంద్రుని స్వదస్తూరి తో రాసిన  “ where the mind is without fear” అనే గేయం కుడా ముద్రించారు. Special cover on Ongole Bull  by India Post on 18-09-1993, on the occasion of APPX'93,at Vijayawada  ప్రపంచంలోనే పేరెన్నిక గన్న పశువుల జాతి మన ఒంగోలు జాతి. ఒంగోలుకు ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా ఖ్యాతి తెచ్చిపెట్టిన జాతి ఇది. ఇవి బలిష్టమైన కాయంతో, చూడముచ్చటైన రూపంతో ఉంటాయి. కష్టతరమైన దుక్కి దున్నడం వంటి పనులకు ఒంగోలు జాతి గిత్త బాగా అనువైనది. ఒంగోలు జాతి పశువులు ఆకారంలో చాలా పెద్దవిగాను, బలిష్టంగాను ఉంటాయి. చక్కగా మచ్చిక అయ్యే గుణం కలిగి, బండి లాగుడుకు అంతో అనుకూలంగా ఉంటాయి. ఒంగోలు ఎద్దులు ఆకారంలోను, కొమ్ములలోను విలక్షణంగా ఉండి చూడగానే గుర్తించేలా ఉంటాయి. కొమ్ములు కురచగా - 3 , 6 అంగుళాలు - ఉండి బయటి వైపుకు పొడుచుకు వచ్చి ఉంటాయి. విశాలమైన కాళ్ళు, చిన్న మొహం, వెడల్పాటి నుదురు, పెద్ద చెవులు కలిగి ఉంటాయి. ఒంగోలు ఎద్దులో మరో ప్రముఖమైన అంశం దాని అందమైన మూపురం. మూపురం పెద్దదిగా ఉండి, నడిచేటపుడు అటూఇటూ ఒరిగిపోతూ ఉంటుంది.   INDIGENOUS BREEDS OF CATTLE KANKREJ KANGAYAM   GIR HALLIKAR బాస్ ఇండికస్ (Bos indicus ) అనే పశువుల కుటుంబానికి భారత ఉపఖండం నిధి వంటిది. వ్యవసాయ పనులకు గాని, పాలు, మాంసా
