జీవవైరుధ్య సదస్సు- తపాలా బిళ్ళలు

మన హైదరాబాద్ లో జరుగుచున్న జీవవైరుధ్య సదస్సు పై తపాల శాఖ వారు 16-10-2012 న నాలుగు తపాలా బిళ్ళలు మరియు ఒక మినీ ఏచర్ విడుదల చేసారు. వీటిపై  మన దేశంలో అంతరించిపోతున్న ప్రాణుల బొమ్మలు ముద్రించారు.

India Post released a set of 4 stamp and a miniature sheet on Endemic Species of Indian Biodiversity Hotspots on 16th October 2012.

 1.Bugun Liocichla:This species has been clasified as vulnerable under International Union for Conservation of Naturee (IUCN) Red List.
 2.Nicobar Megapode: As the name suggest this species is endemic to the NicobarIslands, India. The total number of their breeding pairs was estimated at 788 in 2006.
 3.Hoolock Gibbon: This species, the onle ape in India is a forest dweller. This spieces is an important seed disperser. Its diet includes mostly ripe fruits with some flowers, leaves and shoots.

 4.Venated Gliding Grog: This critically endangered spieces of frog is restricted to the Indira Gandhi National Park and its surrounding in Tamilnadu, in the South Western Ghats, within an altitudinal range of 1000-1300 metres.

STAMPS ON HINDU GODS BY THAILAND POST

THAILAND post issued a set of four stamps with miniature on our Hindu Gods Ganesh,Bramha,Vishnu and Siva on 2- 6 -2009 Ganesha , which is another name for Vinayaka, means the "God who has power over obstacles".
