Archaeological Survey of India

On 20th December 2011 India Post issued a set of two stamps and a miniature sheet on 150 years of Archaeological Survey of India.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), under the Ministry of Culture, is the premier organization for archaeological research and protection of the cultural heritage of the nation. The prime concern of the ASI is the maintenance of ancient monuments and archaeological sites and remains of national importance.

On the view of APPEX-88, A Special cover issued by Indian Post on Rani Rudrama Devi of Kakatiya Dynasty on 8-06- 1988. తిరుపతి లో APPEX -88 (A.P తపాలా బిల్లల ప్రదర్సన) సందర్బం గా మన తపాల శాఖ 8-6-1988 న ఒక ప్రత్యేక తపాలా కవరు విడుదల చేసింది. దానిపై కాకతీయ సామ్రాజ్య పట్ట మహిషి, అసమాన పరాక్రమ శాలి రాణి రుద్రమదేవి చిత్రాన్ని ముద్రించారు. దీనికి తపాలా ముద్రగా లేపాక్షి స్థంబాల పై ఉన్న చిత్రాన్ని ఉపయోగించారు.
