మదర్ తెరెసా (ఆగష్టు 26, 1910 – సెప్టెంబర్ 5, 1997), ఆగ్నెస్ గొంక్శే బోజక్షిహ్యు గా జన్మించినఅల్బేనియా దేశానికి చెందిన రోమన్ కాథలిక్ సన్యాసిని, భారతదేశ పౌరసత్వం పొంది మిషనరీస్ అఫ్ ఛారిటీనిభారతదేశంలోని కలకత్తా లో, 1950 లో స్థాపించారు.45 సంవత్సరాల పాటు మిషనరీస్ అఫ్ ఛారిటీని భారత దేశంలో మరియు ప్రపంచంలోని ఇతర దేశాలలో వ్యాపించేలా మార్గదర్శకత్వం వహిస్తూ, పేదలకు, రోగగ్రస్తులకూ, అనాధలకూ, మరణశయ్యపై ఉన్నవారికీ పరిచర్యలు చేసారు. మానవ సేవకు గాను 1979లోనోబెల్ శాంతి పురస్కారాన్ని మరియు 1980లో భారతదేశ అత్యున్నత పౌరపురస్కారమైన భారతరత్న ను పొందారు. మానవ మూర్తి మదర్ తెరిస్సా పై విదులైన మరికొన్ని తపాలా బిళ్ళలు.
