Miniature Sheet – Crafts Museum

The Crafts Museum was established in 1956 as a resource centre for traditional Indian handicrafts and hand-looms. The aim of the Museum is to preserve Indian art or ethnography and to build a collection of craft specimens. The Museum is housed in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi under aegis of Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, and Government of India.

The Museum has a collection of 32000 artifacts. Research and Development has been a regular activity of the Crafts Museum. It has been observed that this unique Museum is serving all sections of society, including foreign visitors interested in India rich heritage. The Museum has completed 53 years of service in the field of handicrafts and handlooms and rendered yeoman service in the promotion of Indian heritage and culture.

Special Cover on NYAYAPATHI RAGHAVARAO by Indian Post Date of Issue: 23-4-2005 న్యాయపతి రాఘవరావు (1905 - 1984) రేడియో అన్నయ్యగా ప్రసిద్దుడు, ఆంధ్ర బాలానంద సంఘం సంస్థాపకుడు, బాలసాహిత్యవేత్త, బాలబాలికల శ్రేయస్సు, సాంస్కృతిక వికాసానికి తన జీవితాన్ని అంకితం చేసిన విద్యావేత్త, కళాకోవిదుడు మరియు రచయిత. పాఠశాల చదువు అనంతరం విజయనగరం లోని మహారాజ కళాశాల లో డిగ్రీ పూర్తిచేసి మద్రాసు లో పత్రికా విలేఖరిగా జీవితం ప్రారంభించాడు. పది సంవత్సరాల పాటు జర్నలిస్టుగా పనిచేసి, దానికి రాజీనామా చేసి. ఆకాశవాణి లో కాంట్రాక్టు పద్ధతిపైన చేరాడు. అక్కడ చేరిన తరువాత చిన్నపిల్లల కార్యక్రమాలను ప్రతి వారం నిర్వహించే పద్ధతిని ప్రవేశపెట్టాడు. ఈ కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహిస్తూ క్రమంగా రాఘవరావు రేడియో అన్నయ్య గా పేరొందాఋ. ప్రతి ఆదివారం ఆటవిడుపు అనే కార్యక్రమం ప్రారంభించి, తెలుగు బాల బాలికలను రారండోయ్ రారండోయ్........ పిల్లల్లారా రారండోయ్ అంటూ పిలుపు నిచ్చాడు. ఆయనకు చేదోడు వాదోడుగా ఆయన శ్రీమతి న్యాయపతి కామేశ్వరి అండగా నిలిచి ఆ కార్యక్రమాలను విజయవంతం చేసి రేడియో అక్కయ్య గా పేరొందారు. బాలబాలికల ప్రగతికై పాటుబడిన న్యాయపతి రాఘవరావ

On the view of APPEX-88, A Special cover issued by Indian Post on Rani Rudrama Devi of Kakatiya Dynasty on 8-06- 1988. తిరుపతి లో APPEX -88 (A.P తపాలా బిల్లల ప్రదర్సన) సందర్బం గా మన తపాల శాఖ 8-6-1988 న ఒక ప్రత్యేక తపాలా కవరు విడుదల చేసింది. దానిపై కాకతీయ సామ్రాజ్య పట్ట మహిషి, అసమాన పరాక్రమ శాలి రాణి రుద్రమదేవి చిత్రాన్ని ముద్రించారు. దీనికి తపాలా ముద్రగా లేపాక్షి స్థంబాల పై ఉన్న చిత్రాన్ని ఉపయోగించారు.
