A Commemorative Postage Stamp issued by India Post on  Shri R. Venkataraman, the former President of India,on April 18, 2012. R. Venkataraman మన దేశానికి ఎనిమిదొవ రాష్ట్రపతిగా పని చేసిన    రామస్వామి వెంకట్రామన్  ప్రసిద్ధుడైన రాజనీతివేత్త, రచయిత, స్వాతంత్ర సమరయోధుడు. ఆర్. వెంకట్రామన్  తంజావూరు జిల్లా  లోని రాజామాదం అన్న గ్రామంలో  డిసెంబర్ 4 , 1910వ  తేదీన జన్మించాడు.   కేంద్ర ఆర్ధిక మరియు రక్షణ మంత్రిగా పనిచేసిన వెంకట్రామన్  1984  నుండి  1987  వరకూ భారత ఉపరాష్ట్రపతిగా,  రాష్ట్రపతిగా   1987  నుండి  1992  వరకూ పని చేసారు. వెంకట్రామన్ రచనల్లో ప్రసిద్ది చెందినది "మై ప్రెసిడెన్సియల్ ఇయర్స్".  జనవరి 28 ,  2009న  మరణించాడు. వీరి శత జయంతి ని పురస్కరించుకొని మన తపాలా శాఖా ఏప్రిల్ 18 ,2012  న ఒక ప్రతేక తపాలా బిళ్ళను విడుదల చేసినిది.

India Post released a set of 4 stamp and a miniature sheet  on 14th March 2012,  to celebrate 100 years of Civil Aviation in India. The first domestic air route between Karachi and Delhi was opened in December 1912 by Indian state Air Services in collaboration with UK based Imperial Airways.   The design of the stamps and the miniature sheet depicts the journey of the Civil aviation in India, starting from the first commercial flight to its ubiquitous presence across the country with airports having world class facilities.

Republic Day  commemorates the date on which the  Constitution of India  came into force replacing the  Government of India Act 1935  as the governing document of India on  26 January 1950.   While India's  Independence Day  on 15 th August,celebrates its freedom from British Rule, the Republic Day celebrates the coming into force of its constitution. The 26th of January was chosen as a Republic Day to honour the memory of the  declaration of independence  of 1930 during our Freedom Struggle. NETAJI ON DEFINITIVE STAMP iSSUED ON 23 JAN 2001 నేతాజీ సుభాష్ చంద్రబోస్ (జననం జనవరి 23, 1897 , మరణం: తెలియదు) నేతాజీ గా ప్రసిద్ధి గాంచిన సుభాష్ చంద్ర బోసు గొప్ప స్వాతంత్ర్య సమరయోధుడు. బోసు రెండు సార్లు భారత జాతీయ కాంగ్రెస్ కు అధ్యక్షుడిగా ఎన్నికైనా గాంధీతో సిద్ధాంత పరమైన అభిప్రాయ భేదాల వలన ఆ పదవికి రాజీనామా చేశాడు.  మహాత్మా గాంధీ అహింసావాదం మాత్రమే స్వాతంత్ర్య సాధనకు సరిపోదని, తెల్లవాళ్ళ పై పోరాటం ద్వారానే మనకు స్వతంత్రం వస్తుందని తలంచి, రెండవ ప్రపంచ యుద్ధం లో జపాను సహాయంతో భారత యుద్ధ ఖైదీలు, రబ్బరు తోట కూలీలు మరియు ఔత్సాహికులతో భారత జాతీయ సైన్యం(I.N.A) ను ఏర్పాటు చేశాడు. జపాను ప్రభుత్వం అందించిన సైనిక, ఆర్ధిక, దౌత్య సహకారాలతో ఆజాద్ హింద్ ప్రభుత్వం ను సింగపూర్ లో ఏర్పరచాడు. ఈ ప్రభుత్వం తానే స్వంతంగా కరెన్సీ, తపాలా బిళ్ళలు, న్యాయ మరియు పౌర నియమాలను రూపొందించింది. దీన్ని అక్ష రాజ్యాలైన జర్మనీ, జపాన్,ఇటలీ, క్రొయేషియా,థాయ్‌లాండ్, బర్మా , ఫిలిప్ఫీన్స్లాంటి దేశాలు కూడా ఆమోదించాయి.  నేతాజీ ఆగస్టు 18, 1945 లో తైవాన్ మీదుగా టోక్యోకు ప్రయాణిస్తుండగా విమాన ప్రమ...

ఈ ఏడాది  కవిరాజు త్రిపురనేని రామస్వామి గారి  125 వ జయంతి సంవత్సరం.  1887 జనవరి 15న కృష్ణా జిల్లా అంగలూరులో పుట్టిన త్రిపురనేని   తెలుగు నాట హేతువాద భావాలు వెదజల్లిన వైతాళికుడు.  కవి రాజు గారి  125 వ జయంతి సంవత్సరంలో  వారు చూపిన హేతువాద మార్గం లో సమాజం ముందుకు పోయేలా అభుదయ వాదులు, హేతువాదులు కృషి చేయాలి. వారి విగ్రహాన్ని ట్యాంక్ బండ్ తిరిగి ప్రతిస్టించేలా కృషి చేయాలి. 1987 లో వారి  శత జయంతి సందర్బంగా మన తపాలా శాఖ  ఒక ప్రతేక తపాల బిళ్ల (ఇండియా స్వతంత్ర పోరాటం - ఫిఫ్త్ సిరీస్ లో భాగంగా) 60 పైసల స్టాంప్ విడుదల చేసింది.
